Receiving Support in Prayer

Receiving Support in Prayer

Is there a prayer intention weighing heavily on your heart?

You don't have to carry it alone.

Did you know that you can ask priests and religious communities around the world to pray for you and your intentions? Many monasteries, convents and shrines accept prayer intentions.

Here are a few places to keep in mind the next time you'd like others praying alongside you:

Places where you can submit prayer intentions:

"For where two or three are gathered in My Name,

I am there among them". - Matthew 18:20

In my own trials over the years it has been a tremendous consolation to be able to reach out to monasteries, convents and religious communities to ask my brothers and sisters in Christ to pray for me and my intentions. I've often reached out to them when my own crosses have felt too heavy or when someone I love is hurt, sick or struggling. It has been a blessing to receive God's love from others through the gift of prayer. It has been a reminder that no matter what we're going through, so many people truly care and that we don't have to carry our crosses alone.

That’s why I’m sharing this list of places to write to so that you can submit your prayer requests too.

Of course, there are countless shrines and religious communities that you can reach out to with prayer requests. Most have a special page on their websites to help you easily do that. This is just a place to start! So please feel free to save these links and also share them with a loved one. In little ways we can help build each other up through prayer and point each other's hearts toward God.

Whatever you are going through, know that Jesus loves you and deeply cares for you. You are not alone and the Body of Christ can accompany you and lift you up in prayer.

God bless you!
